Clare Nicolson textiles combine digitally printed cottons and silks with vintage fabric to create a fresh range of interior textiles and accessories. The range includes cushions, throws, tea towels, scarves and handmade greetings cards, many of which incorporate vintage fabric ensuring truly unique designs.
Designs for clare nicolson textiles are taken from paper collages which she creates using decorative papers and packaging. Inspiration for collages can come from almost anything; an old teapot, a walk in the country, even the birds in her garden. Pattern is an integral part of the textiles. Layering pattern on pattern, designs develop as each new paper is uncovered. Check her out at http://www.clarenicolson.com. A creative “gorgeous find”!

Although they are a new company, they have been baking biscuits in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, for over 70 years.
In 1935, the Spencer family started making biscuits at the back of their tea shop. The bakery name was ‘Green Dragon’, and it dates back to 1605 when the building was a coaching inn.
The original Ashbourne gingerbread recipe came into the family’s hands in the early 1800s from the French chef who invented it, and has been passed down from generation to generation ever since.
In 2006, the Spencer family sold the bakery to The Fine Cheese Co. and Paul Darvil, who share the same commitment to, and belief in, making biscuits with skill, care and the finest ingredients.
Find them in deli’s around the country.
